Volunteer Now!
Currently, opportunities for individuals to participate in marine
mammal rescues are limited unless you have previous pinniped rescue
experience.
The cooperation of many local agencies, especially the Los Angeles
County Lifeguards, who assist MAR in marine mammal rescues,
enables MAR to expedite care for those animals in need of human
assistance by promptly removing and transporting the animals to
the care center.
MAR is looking for people with pickup trucks who are available
for transporting rescued seals and sea lions to the rehab facility.
We are also looking for people willing to be trained to rescue and
transport injured sea birds to IBRRC in San Pedro.
